Compress for emailNeed a video around 25 MB? Set a target and let the compressor calculate a bitrate based on the duration.
Compress to 25 MBReduce large MP4 clips for websites, team chats or everyday sharing. Keep a high-quality original for your archive.
Explore MP4 compressionVideo size is mostly bitrate multiplied by duration. Lowering the bitrate saves space; lowering resolution or frame rate makes that bitrate go further. Our presets balance these settings for you. Compression is lossy, so keep your original if you need it for editing or archiving.
It is useful for people who want free, watermark-free compression without uploading their video, with quality presets or a target size for email and messaging. It works best for supported SDR videos on a capable device. It is less suitable for HDR, unsupported codecs or jobs that need to continue after the tab closes.

No. Your selected video is read and compressed locally in your browser; the website does not receive or store the video, audio or filename. The site makes normal requests to load application files and uses Google Analytics for website visits and interactions. Your selected video is not sent to Google Analytics. See the privacy policy for details.
Yes. Choose Advanced, select Target file size and enter 8, 25 or 100 MB; custom targets range from 0.1 to 120 MB. The tool calculates a bitrate from the duration and can retry once if the output is too large. A strict ceiling is not guaranteed. Choose a target below the upload limit and verify the actual size before sending.
Start with Balanced, 720p and 30 fps for a short clip, then preview the result. Use a target below the recipient service’s current limit and leave room for attachment overhead. Keep a higher resolution if small text must remain readable; remove audio only when it is unnecessary. A smaller target may reduce visible quality.
Start with MP4, MOV or WebM. Support depends on the codecs inside the file and your browser, not just its extension. Output is MP4 with H.264 video and optional AAC audio. HDR video is currently unsupported.
Reducing a video significantly usually involves some quality loss. Better quality keeps more detail, while Smallest file favors size. Preview the result before downloading and always keep your original.
Inputs are limited to 1 GB and 30 minutes; target sizes can be 0.1–120 MB. Actual capacity depends on available memory and codec support. Large files work best on a desktop. Try an up-to-date Chrome, Edge or Safari; support is checked for each file.
An already optimized video may have little room to shrink. Re-encoding a highly efficient codec to H.264 can also make it larger. Try Smallest file, 720p or a smaller target; the result panel reports the actual size honestly.
The main audio track is retained when Keep audio is enabled. Unsupported audio is reported instead of silently removed. Video orientation is applied to the output. Extra audio tracks, subtitles and source metadata are not retained.
Keep this tab open and your device awake until it finishes. Closing the tab stops the task. On phones, switching apps or locking the screen can interrupt processing. You can cancel and start again from the original file.
